Getting Started 🔢
Becoming a Userbrain tester is free, but there is occasionally a wait list, so you may not be able to start testing right away.
To sign up, head over to the platform's website and create an account. You can do this by signing up via email.
Before you can start working on actual tests, you will be required to take a qualification test. This takes around a week to be reviewed. If you don't pass the first time around, you can retake it.

Earning Money 💵
You can earn money on Userbrain by completing usability tests on apps and websites. These tests come from various companies and developers and typically don't require any special technical knowledge.
During a test, you'll be required to:
- Record your screen
- Record your voice
- Speak your thoughts aloud
- Follow specific tasks
The platform conducts tests in English, German, and Spanish but it's important that you speak the language specified in the test instructions in case you're bilingual.
For each approved test, you'll earn $5. Most tests range from 5 to 20 minutes in length.
Once you complete a paid test, your video quality will be automatically rated by the system. Customers may also give you manual feedback based on whether you completed all tasks, answered all questions, consistently thought out loud, maintained high-quality and clear audio, and recorded the correct screen (for those using desktop). Getting high ratings will ensure that you will continue to receive new test opportunities regularly.
Cashing Out 💰
Once you have at least $10 in your balance, you can cash out your Userbrain earnings via PayPal.
After cashing out, you can expect to receive your Userbrain payout in 2-12 days.

Features 💼
Userbrain allows you to test websites, mobile applications, and anything else that you can provide a public link to (e.g. Figma prototypes).
Available features include:
- Test templates. Rather than create a test from scratch, you can get started quickly with a pre-made template.
- Task types. When creating a test, you can choose from multiple task types including basic text tasks, multiple choice questions, written responses, and more.
- Crowd tester pool. If you want to recruit from Userbrain's pool of testers, simply provide a criteria of your target audience and the platform will manage the recruitment process.
- Invite your own testers. You can also invite your own testers if you have them. However, compensation will need to be done outside of the platform.
- AI insights. Tester video responses are automatically processed by the platform's AI where you get auto-generated transcripts from each tester with time-stamped notes for annotation and tags labeling different response categories.
- Automated test reports. Automatically receive detailed summaries and analysis of user test reports including metrics like task success rates, time on task, AI-assisted notes, and more.
- Share your insights. Highlight and organize essential test insights by using clips and share them to your team via a link.
Pricing 🏷️
There are currently four (4) pricing plans available in Userbrain, with free trials available for every plan and the annual plans priced at a 20% discount, listed as follows:

- Pro: $299/month (billed yearly) or $374/month. Includes 120 testers (annually) or 10 testers (monthly), with 3 admins, and 20 collaborators.
- Agency: $799/month (billed yearly) or $999/month. Includes 360 testers (annually) or 30 testers (monthly), with 20 admins, and 50 collaborators. The only plan that assigns you with a dedicated account manager.

Any unused sessions will be rolled over to the next month or next year, depending on what type of plan you subscribed to.
In case you come up short with testers, you can buy credits to recruit more testers outside of your subscription. Each credit costs $45 and you can get free credits if you purchase a credit package of at least 30. This gives you one recording of one tester from Userbrain's pool of qualified testers.
